Volunteer FAQs

  • Prayer and Vigils

    Answer

We deeply long for a covering of prayer over every part of Hope Ranch ministries. Join us for weekly prayer meetings (call 541-255-2151 for details). For an updated list of prayer requests, see our Facebook page. Anti-trafficking vigils are held from 1:30-2:00 pm the first Sunday of each month at the entrance to Gateway Mall, on the sidewalk near Umpqua Bank.

  • Awareness Training

    Answer

Attend an awareness training, held quarterly. Learn what trafficking is, what’s happening in Lane County, how to recognize the signs and symptoms of trafficking, and how to prevent it. Suggested donation is $20 for each meeting. If money is a barrier, scholarships are available. Some meetings include special speakers. Check our Facebook page for the next meeting.

  • Mentors

    Answer

To escape trafficking, survivors need large networks of supportive people to help rebuild their self-image and give them a glimpse of healthy, normal life. We are looking for single women and married couples to come alongside girls and women. Mentors will need to take a 12-week class called Mending the Soul. Contact us for information about the next offered class.

  • Hope Ranch Homes

    Answer

Hope Ranch Homes is part of our long-term vision to develop a trusting network of people who can react quickly to help human trafficking survivors in crisis. We are looking for married couples or single women who can prayerfully consider opening their homes to survivors in the Eugene-Springfield area. Call us if you want to learn how to get involved in this way: 541-255-2151.

  • Resume Builders

    Answer

Resume builders are people who can help human trafficking survivors find employment. We are looking for people who can connect survivors to jobs, training, and internships; we are also looking for individuals who can provide job search advice and help with resumes and cover letters.

  • Teachers and Tutors

    Answer

We are looking for teachers and tutors who can spare a few hours a week to help with GED training and college support.

  • Fundraisers

    Answer

Fundraising is a wonderful way to build our Hope Ranch community. We welcome you to host a coffee house, pizza party, trivia night, potluck, golf tournament (whatever sounds fun to you) to raise funds and awareness for Hope Ranch.

  • Artists, Therapists, Handy-people, Sports-people, Crafters, Cooks

    Answer

“I can do this: ____. How can I help?”

This is a sentence we love to hear. We are looking for people who can share their gifts and skills by holding activities for our residents or helping out around the Hope Ranch home. If you are a cook, a crafter, a musician, a landscaper, a contractor, a yoga instructor, a photographer, a painter, a potter, an accountant, an organizer, or anything else, and you want to share your skills through teaching a workshop or providing some practical help, we would love to hear from you!
